Step into the rustic charm of The Lobster Trap Lounge, where the sea meets your plate under the open sky. Originally established at Shaw’s Hotel (a National Historic Site of Canada) in 1956, The Lobster Trap Lounge was the FIRST licensed bar in PEI after Prohibition ended in 1948.  Frequented by hotel guests and Islanders alike, The Lounge had a fun-filled, rich history until it closed in 2005.

Revived in 2024, our outdoor dining experience offers an ocean view and the freshest seafood straight from the ocean. Nestled directly behind the Port of Charlottetown, indulge in our ocean-to-table fare while soaking up the ambient maritime atmosphere.
